Channel 4’s latest marketing scheme is freaking everyone out

In true Black Mirror fashion, Channel 4 has introduced the Azanaband to the world – the world’s first sensory gaming device. Worn as a colar, the device gives a complete virtual experience, making the user feel everything.

This, of course, has driven people mad, as it would fall into the hands of children and teenagers who would be vunerable to all kinds of trouble – from torture to sexual experiences. As if society wasn’t messed up enough…

To put your mind at ease, this creation in fake, used as a very effective marketing tool from the guys over at C4 to promote the new show “Kiss me first”, although it isn’t far off what we may expect to see in the near future.

When protagonist Leila discovers the AzanaBand it changes her world forever. First she stumbles upon a secret paradise hidden on the edges of her favourite game, Azana, where she meets Tess. Tess is hedonistic, impulsive and insatiable – everything Leila isn’t. But when a member of her in-game group mysteriously disappears, Leila begins to suspect the hidden sanctuary isn’t the digital Eden its creator claims it to be.
